Isabel was born on the Australian mainland in Melbourne. The mother of Isabel is Swiss as is her father Australian. Her family grew up in Switzerland Melbourne Jabiru a small mining town in Cairns in the Northern Territory and Cairns Australia. Along with her sister Nina she went to schools that included First Nations children as well as students from different countries. Isabel lives in Byron Bay, New South Wales Australia. Isabel has served as a PatronAmbassador of Melbourne's Human Rights and Arts Film Festival (HRAFF) for 10 years, up until 2020.
